2 Getting star ted EN Impor tant information Safety Ensure that y our domestic mains supply v oltage matches the v oltage indicated on the identification stick er located at the back of your set. This TV set is a class 1 appliance . It m ust be connected to an electrical wall sock et with an earth .
3 Getting star ted EN Switching on F ollow the instructions on this page on ho w to switch on your TV set and the remote control bef ore going on to f ollowing pages describing how to use the r emote contr ol and the channel set-up procedur e. 1. Insert two LR06 or AA batteries in the remote contr ol.
Getting star ted 4 EN Using the r emote contr ol for other equipment This remote contr ol can be used to contr ol other appliances using the programmable buttons VCR , DV D , SA T , AMP and AU X .
5 Getting star ted EN Manual pr ogramming This method inv olves carrying out a manual sear ch for the codes to be used for contr olling your other appliances.
6 Channel set-up EN Initial set-up Initial set-up inv olves selecting all the settings r equired to be able to sear ch for and stor e all the channels you can r eceive. Mak e sure that the tele vision is switched on and follow all the steps in turn specified hereafter .
7 Channel set-up EN Manual channel set-up F ollow the pr ocedur e given on this page if y ou find that some channels ha ve not been stored during the initial set-up . This can happen if y ou are setting up cable netw ork channels. Setting up channels manually r equires e very setting for a particular channel to be entered, one at a time.

9 Gener al oper ation EN Zoom In TV mode , you ha v e the option of changing the displa y format and using the zoom function via the buttons. The available formats and zoom functions ar e: 4/3 format .
10 Adv anced functions EN Adjusting the sound Displa y the O VER VIEW menu by pressing the MENU button. Select the Sound option and press OK to confirm. The Sound menu appears with the following options: T one contr ol : this option gives y ou access to the T one contr ol menu (more details below).
11 Adv anced functions EN Fr equency range : the graphic equaliser has se ven fr equency bands. Select each band in turn using the buttons and make the necessary adjustments using the buttons.
Adv anced functions 12 EN In PC mode you can access a number of specific functions: Auto-adjustment : this option allows you to automaticall y adjust the following functions: Phase , Clock , Ve r tical position and Horizontal position .P r ess OK until the message Running a ppears.
13 Adv anced functions EN PIP - P AP This function can be used to displa y a second source (TV , A V , etc .) in a corner of the screen or on the right side of the screen. It is a vailable in both TV and PC mode . Note: If this function is not available for the source display ed on the screen a message will inform you of this.
Adv anced functions 14 EN Setting the time The Time menu allows you to set the time and date on y our TV set, to programme an automatic turn-off or wak e-up timer and to view the calendar . Displa y the O VER VIEW menu by pressing the MENU button. Select the Time option and press OK to confirm.
15 Adv anced functions EN Pr ogramming the wak e-up timer This function can be used to set the time for the set to come on, for instance, for the television to wak e you up . 1. Select the Wa k e-up timer option. Using the numeric buttons or buttons, choose Once or Daily from the list to activate this function and access the r elevant options.

The information it contains has been compiled by y our television based on T eletext information transmitted by the various channels, according to the services they offer .
Adv anced functions 22 EN Checking y our selections on the Events scr een This screen displa ys the list of programmes stored. T o display it, select the Ev ents option from the Pr ogram Info menu and press OK to confirm. The four pr ogrammes that ar e stored ar e indicated by the same symbols as featur e in the Pr ogram Inf o screen.
23 Other informa tion EN Sock ets A V1 and A V2 SCAR T sock ets (input-output) at the back These sock ets can be used to connect a range of equipment, including video recorders, camcorders (VHS, S-VHS, 8 mm or Hi 8 format), decoders, satellite r eceivers, DVD pla yers, games consoles or devices pr oducing an RGB signal.
Other informa tion 24 EN USB sock et (input) at the side This can be used to connect a memor y card r eader for cards containing mp3, WMA, JPEG, MPEG, and/or DivX files.
