PAGE 4 The blow er should be turned on for about 5 minutes before cooking in or der to establish air currents upward thr ough the hood. Thus when heat, smoke, moisture, grease and cooking odors ar e produced, they will be carried outside instead of drifting into other rooms.
PAGE 5 HEAT SENSOR Y our hood is equipped with a heat sensor that will turn the blower to Lo w speed if excessive heat occurs above the cooking surfaces. 1. If the blow er is off – it turns the blower on to low speed. 2. If the blow er is already on any speed selection, no speed change will occur .
PAGE 6 To Clean Hood Surface • For general car e , wipe the outside of the stainless steel with sudsy water or household cleaners such as Fantastic ® or Formula 409 ® , rinse w ell and dr y with a clean soft cloth to a void water marks. • Wipe and dr y stainless steel in the same dir ection as the grain.
PAGE 7 HEAT LAMP REPLACEMENT (for PH Wall Hood Models Only) • T urn heat lamp counterclockwise to remov e . • Replace lamp with either a P AR-38 175W heat lamp or a P AR-40 250W heat lamp. The P AR-38 175W heat lamp provides a tighter seal within the enclosure and pr oduces the same amount of effective heat with lo wer energy consumption.
