1 GUIDE Cat. No. 42.7003 Instruction M anual INTRODUCTION This de v ice is a digital product that pro v ides altimeter, barometer, compass, altimeter data, dual time, chronograph, chronograph data and alarm functions.
2 Chronograph - 1/100-second resolution w ith w orking range up to 24 hours. - 100 memories for lap/split times stored in a maximum of 30 runs. Alarm - 2 daily alarms.
3 BASIC OPERATION OF BUTTONS A: - S W ITCH AMONG DISPLAYS - TAKE BEARING - STORE ALTITUDE DATA (PRESS AND HOLD) - FOR W ARD SELECTION OF ALTITUDE DATA - START/LAP OF CHRONOGRAPH - RETRIEVE DATA IN RUN.
4 MODE CHANGE OPERATION There are 9 modes: Normal Time, Dual Time, Compass, Barometer, Altimeter, Altimeter Data, Chronograph, Chronograph Data and Alarm.
5 TIME MODE Use C to enter Time mode. * Mode prompt “TIME” is displayed first. - There are 2 time modes, Normal Time (indicated by T1) and Dual Time ( indicated by T2), and they count up indi v idually w ith the same second. - There are 3 displays for time.
6 2. Use A (+) and B ( -) to chang e the setting. Holding do w n either button scrolls the setting at high speed. 3. Press C to ad v ance to the next setting as in the follo w ing: * W hen second digits are flashing, press A or B to reset the digits to 00.
7 TENS OF DEGREE DEGREE E/W C C C 2. Rotate the product clock w ise slo w ly for 2 complete rotations * Each rotation must last for at least 15 seconds. Keep the w atch in a le v el position w hen calibrating. Do a v oid close contact to metal parts or other electrical instruments, w hen calibrating.
8 BAROMETER MODE Barometer mode indicator Use C to enter Barometer mode. * Mode prompt “BARO” is displayed first. - Barometer mode indicator is sho w n. - The barometer is of 1 hPa resolution and w ith w ork ing range from 300 hpa to 1100 hpa. - Both sea le v el pressure and absolute pressure can be sho w n.
9 To switch between °F and °C 1. Use A or E to s w itch to the barometer display w ith temperature. 2. Hold do w n B until the unit indicator (°F or °C) stops flashi ng to s w itch temperature bet w een °F and °C. To set sea level pressure reading 1.
10 ALTIMETER MODE Use C to enter Altimeter mode. * Mode prompt “ALTI” is displayed first. - Altimeter mode indicator is sho w n. - The altimeter is of 1 meter (or foot) resolution an d w ith w orking range from -700 meters ( -2296 feet) to 9000 meters (29520 feet).
11 ALTIMETER DATA MODE Use C to enter Altimeter Data mode. * Mode prompt “ALTI DATA” is displayed first. - Data number, time, dat e and altitude reading can be retrie v ed. * Altitude data are sho w n in 2 different displays. To retrieve the altitude data 1.
12 seconds, then the display w ill sho w the current running ti mes automatically. To measure elapsed time 1. Press A to start the chronograph. 2. Press B to stop the chronograph. * You can resume the measurement operation by pressing A. 3. Hold do w n B until the next run number is sho w n on the display.
13 * Returns to chronograph display automatically after 3 seconds or w hen any button is pressed. MODO DATOS DE CRONÓGRAFO Use C to enter Chronograph Data mode. * Mode prompt “CHRO DATA” is displayed first. - Run number, date, lap/split time of each lap, best lap time and a v erage lap time can be retrie v ed.
14 To clear all runs Hold do w n D until “----” is sho w n on the display. * All runs are cleared. ALARM MODE Use C to enter Alarm mode. * Mode prompt “ALRM” is displayed first. - There are 2 daily alarms and they can be set to refer to Normal Time (indicated by T1) or Dual Time (indicated by T2).
15 To turn the alarm on and off Press A to turn the alarm on (indicated by ON) and off (indicated by OFF). * If the alarm is turned on, the alarm on indicator w ill be sho w n. RESETTING THE PRODUCT Hold do w n A, B, C and D simultaneously, all segments w ill be “on”, then release the buttons and the product w ill be reset.
