DS-RPC Manual 4 ABOUT THIS OWNER’S MANUAL This document provides information required for installing and operating your Bay Tech equipment. It should allow the user to connect to, power up, and access an applications m enu where peripheral equipment can be controlled.
DS-RPC Manual 5 Connection Description BayTech's Host communication module determines the t ype of interface that c ontrols user access to the DS Series data switch and other DS Series conn ected modules.
DS-RPC Manual 6 CAUTION: Before removing or replacing any modules, turn off main power switch located on the DS-Series Base Unit. Communication to the DS-Series Data Switch will be disru pted while power is off.

DS-RPC Manual 11 Opening Menu S t atus IMPORTANT: The Factory default serial communications parameters are 9600 bps, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and no parity.
DS-RPC Manual 12 HELP Typing ‘Help’ at the DS prompt w ill display a list of commands to ch ange the state of the outlets, unit configuration, and intern al sensor measurem ents. Receptacle Controls On, Off, Reboot, Lock, and Unlock are comm ands to control the individual outlets.
DS-RPC Manual 13 The REBOOT n command will reboot or reset equipment attached to correspond ing recep tacle(s). When the command to REBOOT (n) is sent from the DS-RPC > prompt, the DS powers ‘ Off ’ the corresponding outlet(s) for approximate ly 10 seconds, then powers them ‘ On ’ in sequence.
