The EV I D ™ mo unti ng system has been design ed so that, i f necessar y , the i nstallation can be don e from beneath the ceili ng. In some cases with a suspended ceili ng grid, ho wev er , it may be easier t o access from both the t op and bottom of th e cei li ng tile dur ing the instal lation process.
Step 1: Cut the Hole (Figure 6) For suspended tile or sh eetrock ceil i ngs, cut out th e hole either b y tr aci ng the cardboard template or with a circular cutter set t o the appropriate cut out size. If th e wi re has been pre-inst alled, pull the wir ing through the cu tout ho le.

1. If plen um cable is used, slide the wiri ng through th e str ai n relief f itti ng on the t er m i- nal co ver plate (F igure 14). Hold the strai n relief f ittings tight around the cabl e. Tighten the strai n relief screws fi rst, then the h ori- zontal screw .
