Environmental note Note : Before discarding an old appliance, switch off and disconnect it from the power supp ly. Cut off and render any plug useless. Cut the cable off directly behind th e appliance to prevent misuse. This should be undertake n by a competent person.

Description of the product features 1) Shelves o The shelves may be placed in an y of the guide slots within the interior of the appliance. They are protected from sliding out. o To remove a shelf : Take off all of the it ems that are stored on the shelf that you want to remove.
Using your Baumatic fridge with freezer compartment Before switching on o Make sure that it has been installed by a suitably qualified person, as per the information contained in Baumatic’s installation instructions. o After delivery, wait for eigh t hours before connecting the appliance to your mains supply.
Turning on the appliance an d setting the thermostat You switch on your appliance by connecting it to your mains supply and setting the thermostat. The ther mostat is located on the upper right hand side of the inside of the cabinet, next to the interior light.
12 Arranging and storing food in your refrigerator o Warm food or evaporating liquids should not be stored in your refrigerator, as this will increa se the humidity inside of the appliance. o All foods should be wrapped or covered, this is particularly important if the food has a st rong flavour.
The freezer compartment The freezer compartment is suitab le for storing and freezing food. o The freezer compartment temperature must have already reached -18 degrees centigrade (o r lower) before you attempt to store food that is already frozen or f reezing fresh food.
Freezing fresh food o To freeze the maximum quantity of fresh food specified above, you should turn the thermostat up to the highest setting 24 hours prior to attempting freezing. 14 o For smaller quantities of fresh food, the thermostat should be turned up to its highest setting approximately 6 hours prior to attempting freezing.
Freezer compartment d oor open indicator There is a door indicator on the lo ck of the freezer compartment door, which will advise you whether the door of the icebox is shut properly or not. o If the red indicator is visible, then the freezer compartment door is still open and should be closed properly.
Cleaning and maintenance WARNING: PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR APPLIANCE IS DISCONNECTED FROM YOUR MAINS SUPPLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO CLEAN IT. o Do not clean the appliance by pouring water onto it or spraying water over it.
o The evaporating tray and defrost water drain hole should be cleaned periodically with the defr ost drain plug. This will prevent water from collecting in the bottom of the refrigerator, instead of flowing down the defrost drai nage channel and drain hole.

Installation IMPORTANT: Before installation and usage, read all the instructions and make sure tha voltage (V) and the frequency (Hz) indicated on the rating plate are exactly the same as the voltage and frequency in your home. The rating plate can be found on the fr ont left edge of the 19 t the inside of the refrigerator.
Positioning o It is advisable that your appliance is only installed in a location where the ambient temperature of the room, corresponds with the climate classification that is st ated on the rating plate of your appliance. Your appliance may not function correctly if the ambient temperature falls outs ide of the following ranges.
Aperture and appliance dimensions 2) Figure 2 shows the aperture size th at you will need to be able to install your appliance. o The appliance must be stood on a level floor. You can use the leveling feet to take into ac count any minor unevenness in the floor.
Installing your refrigerator If you need the appliance door to open from the other side, then please reverse the door before commencing the installation process. (See Reversing the door section). 4) Insert the top fixing bar ( a ) into the slot on the top of the appliance.

Reversing the door of your appliance Caution!
