5 GET TING ST ARTED DAB/F M AERIAL Before using your radio for D AB or F M rec eption, unwr ap and fully ex tend the aerial wire. Y ou may need to adjust the position of the aerial wire for maximum signal str ength.
6 DISPLAY MODE OPTIONS The bottom line of the display can be switched to show dierent items of information that may be transmitted with a DAB sta tion. Choosing the information displa y: Press the INFO button repeatedly to change the information displayed while pla ying a DAB radio sta tion.
7 LISTENING T O FM RADIO SOUND SOURCES Y ou can choose to listen to the following sour ces - DAB radio • FM radio • iPhone/iPod (when dock ed) • Aux source (when connected via the rear panel Aux In • jack). Selec ting a source: Press the • MODE button repeatedly to scroll through the available sour ces.
8 DAB & F M ST A TION PRESETS DAB and F M presets Y our radio can store up t o 10 of your favourit e stations as presets on both the D AB and FM bands for quick recall . T o store a preset 1-10 T une to the station you wan t to stor e as a preset.
9 iPhone/iP od ADAPT ORS FINDING AN ADAPT OR Before docking your iPhone/iP od you must rst check if it has a docking connector . Early iPod models do not have one and cannot be docked to your unit. T he docking connector is located on the base of the iPhone/iP od as shown below .
10 DOCKING AN iPhone/iP od PLA YING FROM AN iPhone/iP od T o change to iPhone/iPod mode: Press the • MODE button repea tedly to select iPod mode . ‘Insert iPod’ will be displayed . T o dock an iPod: Check tha t the correct iP od adapt or is tted to the docking • bay .
11 SET TING THE ALARMS SETTING THE ALARMS Y ou can set two completely separate alarm times (ALARM 1 and ALARM 2) and ac tivate either or both of them to wake you with a buzzer , radio , or music from a docked iPhone/iPod. Y ou can also pre-set the station preset and volume settings that the alarms will wak e you with.
12 SETTING THE ALARM TO W AKE YOU T o set the alarm to wake you: Check that the Alarm 1 and/or Alarm 2 symbols are • displayed as required . If not, set the Alarm(s) On as described in the ‘Setting the Alarms’ section on the previous page.

14 MORE DET AIL OF THE DAB SETTINGS MENU OPTIONS: TIME: Selec t the time option to set the clock manually . This may be useful if you are in an area where it is not possible to receiv e DAB radio broadcasts.
15 CARE AND CLEANING All c are and cleaning operations should be carried out with the unit unplugged from the mains pow er . The surface of the unit can be cleaned with a barely damp cloth and then dried carefully . Never use abrasives, abrasive cloths or chemical solvents .
