6 BA CKUP BA T TERY A backup battery may be tted to your clock radio . W ith the backup batter y tted, your clock radio will retain your time and alarm settings in the event of a pow er cut. The backup battery compartment is locat ed on the underside of the unit.
7 GET TING ST ARTED POWER C ONTROL FM AERIAL Before using your clock radio for FM reception, unwrap and fully e xtend the aerial wir e. Y ou may need to adjust the position of the aerial wire for maximum signal str ength.
8 LISTENING T O FM RADIO ST A TION PRESE TS Radio presets Y our radio can st ore up to 20 of your favourit e sta tions as presets for quick r ecall. T o store a station as a preset T une to the station you w ant to store as a preset . • Press and • hold the DISPLAY/MEMORY button.
9 RETRACT ABLE DOCK This model features a retractable iP od/iPhone dock that is built-in to the left side of the unit. T o open the retrac table dock: Press the surface of the retractable dock. • The dock will unlock and pop open. • Pull the dock out fully before dock ing your iP od.
10 PLA YING MUSIC FROM AN iP od T o dock your iPhone or iPod: Open the retractable dock as described on the pr evious • page. Check tha t the c orrect iP od adaptor is tted to the docking • bay . Locat e the iP od on the Docking Connector and pr ess it • gently home.
11 The A UDIO IN jack may be used to connect sound sour ces with a Line or Headphone analogue output to play through your unit. These may include - iPod models tha t c annot be docked to the unit •.
12 USING THE ALARMS Y our clock radio has t wo alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2). Y ou can set either or both alarms to wake you at your preferred time and choose to wake up t o the sound of radio , music from an iPod or a buzz er . Setting the Alarm 1 alarm time: Press and • hold the ALARM button.
13 ADV ANCED OPER A TION The advanced features are enabled when an iPhone or iP od touch with T echnika application running is dock ed to the unit (iPhone in this section also applies to iPod touch).
14 ADV ANCED OPER A TION CLOCK FUNCTION: If the application is running on an iPhone that is docked, the time, date and weather settings of your clock radio will be automatically updat ed. With the clock func tion selec ted, you can also choose to set either or both of the alarms.

16 CARE AND CLEANING All care and cleaning operations should be carried out with the unit unplugged from the mains pow er . The surface of the unit can be cleaned with a barely damp cloth and then dried carefully . Never use abrasives , abrasive cloths or chemical solvents .
