6 Closed or Contact position Open or Flat position • The angle of the g r ill plates can be adjusted to allo w g rease drain easily into the dr ip tra y . For the lo w er g r ill plate , use the Tilt Up Feet under the lo w er housing to adjust plate angle .

8 USING THE OPEN OR FLA T POSITION The open/fl at position is ideal for gr illing v egetables and mor e delicate items like seafood. Impor tant: When cooking in the open/flat position, be sure y our food is placed ev enly on both plates. When cooking a small amount of food on one plate only , use the lo w er plate .
9 RECOMMENDED GRILLING TIMES The follo wing times are guidelines and based on gr illing in the closed or contact position. Times will vary according to the ingredient thickness and personal taste. • For mor e rare r esults, check doneness at a shor ter time .

GRILLING GUIDE AND HELP FUL HINTS • Be sure to al w ays w ash the g r ill plates after each use , when they ha v e cooled to remo v e any r esidue that may ha v e accumulated.
