CAUTION Before turning the power on, minimize the v olume of other equipment that is connected to this unit. 18 T ASCAM CD - 60 1 0 3 – Pr epara tion P anel lock func tion When in shift mode (when the SHIFT indicator is lit), press and hold the DISPLA Y [LOCK] button to turn the panel lock function on or off. Y ou can also turn it on/off by pressing the DISPLA Y [LOCK] button while pressing and holding the SHIFT button.

20 T ASCAM CD - 60 1 0 5 – Opera tion C ompatible disc and file types This unit can play the f ollowing types of discs and files. CD-DA format discs (audio CDs) This unit can play commer cially-available music CDs and CD-R discs that have been recor ded in audio CD format.
T ASCAM CD - 60 1 0 21 5 – Opera tion Loading discs Inser ting a disc T o load a CD, pr ess the O PEN/CLOSE button on the unit or the EJ ECT button on the remote con trol to open the disc tray . Load the disc with its label side up . Pr ess the OPE N/CLOSE button or the EJEC T button again to close the disc tray .

T ASCAM CD - 60 1 0 23 5 – Opera tion Using the SEAR CH buttons Y ou can search forward and backward in a track while listening to it. 1 Play or pause the desired tr ack . 2 Press and hold a SEARCH Ô / [ AUT O CUE/ A UTO READ Y ] button on the pla yer or a SEARCH Ô / button on the remote t o star t searching forward or backward.

T ASCAM CD - 60 1 0 25 6 – V arious Playback F unc tions Call function During playback or when paused, press the CALL [P LA Y MOD E] button on the player or the CALL button on the remote to loca te to the point when playback last started and pause playback.
26 T ASCAM CD - 60 1 0 6 – V arious Playback F unc tions Repeat pla yback Y ou can repeatedly play back all tr acks or repeatedly play back a specified region within a tr ack (A-B repea t playback). Ordinary repeat playback When the repeat pla yback function is on, behavior depends on the playback mode.
T ASCAM CD - 60 1 0 27 6 – V arious Playback F unc tions Intro check mode The Intro Check mode allows 10-sec ond track beginnings to be played in suc cession. Use the follo wing procedures to enable this mode. Using the fron t panel buttons: 1 When stopped and in shift mode (SHIFT indicator lit), press the ª ST OP [INTRO CHECK ] button.

T ASCAM CD - 60 1 0 29 6 – V arious Playback F unc tions 2 Use the number buttons or SKIP Â / ¯ buttons to select the number of the track that you w ant to add at the currently displa yed prog ram number . T he selected track number blinks. 3 Press the SEARCH butt on to add the selected track.
30 T ASCAM CD - 60 1 0 6 – V arious Playback F unc tions F ade in/fade out playback The player can be set t o fade in at the beginning of playback and fade out when playback is stopped or paused. The fade in and fade out times, which determine how many sec onds fading in and fading out takes, can be set independently .
