Replacing the batteries Replace both batteries with new ones when the range of the remote contr ol becomes short or if the function buttons become unresponsive .

22 T ASCAM CD -200SB 4 – Pla yback Selec ting the playback mode Press the main unit PLA Y MODE/INTRO CHECK [PLA Y AREA] button or the remote PLA Y MODE button to cycle through the playback modes. During playback, howev er , you can only switch among continuous, single and random pla yback modes.

T ASCAM CD -200SB 25 4 – Pla yback Setting the program When no program is set , follow the proc edures below to set a program using the r emote control . Y ou can set programs independently f or each type of media (CD/ SD card/USB flash drive). NO TE • The program cannot be set from the main unit.
26 T ASCAM CD -200SB 4 – Pla yback Checking the program Y ou can check the contents of the prog ram. 1. Press the PR OGRAM EDIT button on the remote contr ol while playback is stopped to put the unit int o program setting mode. The track number and playback time of the track set as program step 01 is sho wn on the screen and PROG blinks.
T ASCAM CD -200SB 27 4 – Pla yback Repeat playback Y ou can play back all the tracks in the playback area r epeatedly . Press the main unit REPEA T [PIT CH] button or the remote REPEA T button to turn the repeat playback function ON/OFF . Repeat ON (REPEA T indicator appears) All tracks are play ed back repeatedly .
28 T ASCAM CD -200SB 4 – Pla yback NO TE • After pressing the DISPLA Y [SHIFT ] button on the main unit or the DISPLA Y button on the remote control, the currently selected type of information to be shown on the main display appears for two seconds as follows.
T ASCAM CD -200SB 29 Intro Check function When stopped or during playback press and hold the main unit PLA Y MODE/INTRO CHECK [PLA Y AREA] button or press the remote INTRO CHECK button t o play the first 10 seconds of each track one after another . The INTRO indicat or appears when this function is active.
30 T ASCAM CD -200SB 5 – Bro w sing Using this unit’ s browse function, you can examine the folder and file structure of SD cards and USB flash drives without need for a computer . The name of the selected folder or file is shown on the displa y along with an icon that indicates its type.
T ASCAM CD -200SB 31 5 – Bro w sing 3. T o move down a level , select the folder ( ) y ou want to open, and press the main unit FOLDER t [PIT CH +, ] button or the remote FOLDER t [ ] button. After opening a folder , the first subfolder or track inside that folder is shown on the displa y .
32 T ASCAM CD -200SB 6 – Direc t folder function Y ou can assign folders on an SD card or USB flash driv e to the main unit FOLDER/TRACK SELECT (1–10/0) buttons. When you press a button with an assigned f older , you can immediately select that folder on the SD card or USB flash drive and start playback.
T ASCAM CD -200SB 33 6 – Direc t folder function Assigning direct folders individually 1. Press the MEDIA SELECT button on the main unit or the remote and select the media that contains the f older that you want to assig n as a direct folder . (See “S electing the playback media ” on page 19.
34 T ASCAM CD -200SB 6 – Direc t folder function 3. Press the main unit SET [ A UT O SET ] button or the remot e A UT O SET button again. The unit automatically checks which of the 1–10/0 buttons do not yet have dir ect folder assignments and assigns f olders to them.
T ASCAM CD -200SB 35 6 – Direc t folder function Direct folder playback When the main unit TRK SEL indicator is not lit, lit indicat ors for the FOLDER/TRACK SELECT (1–10/0) buttons show they hav e direct folder assignments f or the current media (SD card or USB flash drive).
36 T ASCAM CD -200SB 6 – Direc t folder function Random playback mode o The tracks in the selected direct folder play back in random order . F or example, if you pr ess button 1, all the tracks in the assigned folder will be play ed back in random order .
T ASCAM CD -200SB 37 6 – Direc t folder function 3. Press the 1–10/0 butt on with a blinking indicator that has the direct folder assignment that y ou want to clear . After the assignment has been cleared , DONE appears on the display for a f ew seconds and then, it returns to its pr evious state.
38 T ASCAM CD -200SB 7 – Dubbing (cop ying) Using this unit’ s dubbing (copying) function you can dub the content of a CD to an SD car d or USB flash drive.
T ASCAM CD -200SB 39 7 – Dubbing (cop ying) Dubbing 1. Load the dubbing sourc e CD . If the dubbing source CD is a data CD , press the main unit or remote MEDIA SELECT button to set the dubbing sourc e media to CD . (See “S electing the playback media ” on page 19.

Press the main unit FOLDER/TRA CK SELECT (1–10/0) button or the remote number (1–10/0) butt on for the folder that you want t o select as the dubbing destination. PREPARE appears on the display for a f ew seconds, then the time counter f or the track being dubbed is shown and dubbing begins.

CAUTION • Y ou cannot use this unit to er ase individual files. • All files (not just music files) in the designated folder will be erased, reg ardless of their statuses (Read Only , etc.
