31 Calling My numbers You can view, add and edit your own phone numbers. To check your phone numbers 1 From standby select Menu > Contacts . 2 Scroll to New contact and select Options > Special numbers > My numbers . 3 Select an option. Accept calls You can choo se to receive c alls from certain phone numbers only.
32 Messaging Call time and cost During a call, the duration of the call is shown. You can check the duration of your last call, outgoing ca lls and the total time of your calls. To check the call time • From standby sel ect Menu > Settings > the Calls tab > Time & cost > Call timers .
33 Messaging Text messages Text messages ca n contain simple pictures, sound effects, animati ons, and melodies. Before you use messa ging You must have a service centre number. The number is suppli ed by your service provider and is usua lly saved on the SIM card.
34 Messaging Before you use picture messaging You must set an MMS profi le and the address of your me ssage server. If no MMS profile or message server exists, you can receive al l the settings automatically from your network operator or at www.sonyericsso n.
35 Messaging To set picture message options 1 From standby select Menu > Messaging > Settings > Picture message . 2 Scroll to an option and se lect Edit . To set message options for a specific message 1 When the message is r eady and a recipient is selec ted, select Options > Advanced .

38 Messaging Chat group A chat group can be started by your service provider, by an individual My friends user or by yourself. You can save chat grou ps by saving a ch at invitation or by sea rching for a specific chat group. To create a chat group 1 From standby select Me nu > Messaging > My friends > the Chat groups tab.

54 Connectivity Power saving You can save battery power with the Power save function. You can only connect with one Bluetooth device at a time wh en using Power sa ve. You must turn this function off if you want to connect with more than one Bluetooth device at the same time.
55 Connectivity To disconnect the USB cable safely 1 Right-click the remova ble disk icon in Windows Explorer . 2 Select Eject . 3 Disconnect the USB cable when the following mess age is sh own in the phone: Mass storage session ended. It is now safe to remove the USB cable.
