07 CONNECTION Connection to the mains Do not turn on the power before all connections have been made correctly . Check that all connections have been made correctly before turning on the power . Check that the mains voltage is 230-240V AC50Hz before turning on the power.
08 REMOTE CONTROL Installation of batteries Remove the cover as illustrated. Position two batteries of the type AAA/R03/UM4 in the battery compartment. Make sure that the orientation of the batteries is correct (see drawing at bottom). Replace the cover .
09 Some of the functions of the unit can only be performed by means of the remote control. Some functions are connected with the selected signal input source. Some buttons on the remote control may therefore not be available if the corresponding signal input source has not been selected.

13 Optical Output Antenna Contrast Optical Output Antenna Contrast For an optimal result it is recommended to install a DAB antenna on the roof or on the loft. The supplied antenna must be adjusted for the best possible result by means of the signal bar described above.
14 PHON POWER DAB-50 DAB/FM TUNER 1 3 3 T urn on the unit by pressing the mains switch. Press the standby button on the remote control to switch to standby mode. The display will turn of f and all functions will be reduced to a minimum to make sure that the unit uses minimal power .
15 OPERA TION AND FUNCTIONS DAB tuning When the unit is turned on for the first time, all settings will be default settings. The settings can be changed according to your preference. When the unit is turned off the next time, these settings will naturally be saved as the new default settings.
16 OPERA TION AND FUNCTIONS FM tuning The DAB-50 offers both manual and automatic tuning on the FM band. This makes it possible to save just one specific channel.
