Introduction 3 Microph one The high quality table microphone is designed to use on a table du ring a videoconference. The ideal locati on for the m icrophone is on a flat surface at least 2m (6.5 ft) fr om the f ront of the system. The m icrophone should alwa y s be placed pointing away fr om the system with the cable towards the sy stem .

Installation 9 Note! Mak e sure you i nsert the card in the right direction (w ith the product logo pointing upwards). Push the card into the slot until the Eject button po ps up.

If you are using S-vi deo from the sy stem , rem ember to select S- Video inpu t to avoid a bl ac k and white picture.
11 3 General Use Wake up the system W hen the sy stem is not in use, it is in standby m ode and the screen is black. W ak e up the sy s tem by pick ing up the remote control. An incoming call or pressing any key on the rem ote control will also wake up the sy s tem.

General Use 13 3.2 Using the Remote Control The system is controlled with a remote control. Think of the remote control as a m obile phone with number keys and call key s. Us e the arrow key s and OK to navigate th e menu. T he system ’ s mos t com monly used functions are also accessible directly fr om the rem ote control.

General Use 15 3.2.1 Nav igation A rrow keys and OK Navigate in the menu with arrow key s. The yell ow selector on screen shows the selected item. Press OK to select. Cancel key In the main m enu, pressing Cancel (X) will hi de the menu. If the m enu is hidden, bring i t back with OK.

General Use 17 3.2.3 Layout The lay out of the screen can either be shown as Picture in Pi c ture (PIP) or Picture outside Picture (POP) when display ing m ore than one video image. T he behavior of the Lay out button is dependent on the Picture Lay out setting.

General Use 19 3.2.4 Mic Off To m ute y our m icrophone, press Mic Off . An on screen indicator wil l appear. Pressing Mic Off one more tim e will activ ate the m icrophone again.

General Use 21 3.2.6 Number and Letter key s Pressing a number k ey w hen you are out side a call wi ll take y ou to the call menu. W hen y ou are in an input field w here letters are required, the sy stem autom atically goes to letter mode. W riting letters works like on a m obile phone.

General Use 23 3.2.8 Softkeys The com m ands shown at the bottom of the screen are called softk eys and correspond wi th the keys on top of the remote control. This m eans that to mak e a call, y ou can press the button on the remote control that corresponds to the NewCall softkey on the bo ttom of the screen.

General Use 25 3.4 Camera Control The cam era is controlled by us ing the key s on the remote control. Select Near End or Far End to control the respective camera.

W hen the m enu is hidden, the arrow keys wil l trigger a dial og box that offers you the opti ons: Near End and Far End.

General Use 31 3.5.2 A nsw ering a call To answer a call, go off-hook . See details bel ow. A ction Procedure Answer when system is idle: Press the Answer softk ey . Switch from a connected call to answer a ringing call: Press the Answer softk ey . Doing so answers the new call and automatically places the f irst call on hold.

General Use 33 3.5.4 Using Hold and Resume Only one call can be active at any given time; all other calls must be placed on hold. A ction Procedure Put a call on ho ld: Highlight th e call y ou want to put on hol d and press the Hold softkey. Remove a call from hold: Highlight th e call y ou want to remove from hold and press the Resume sof tkey.

A ction Procedure Transf er a call without t alking to the transfer recipient: During a connected call, press the Transfer softk ey and enter the target number.
General Use 35 3.5.6 Conference Calls A conference call enables three or more sites to participate in the same conf erence. Your sy stem can support different m odes of c onference calls. Two m odes are described below. They are identified by their softk eys.

General Use 37 3.5.8 Storing and Retriev i ng Parked Calls A call can be parked so that y ou or som eone else can retrieve it from another phone or vid eo endpoint in the Cisco CallManager sy stem . A ction Procedure Park an active call: During a call, press the Park softk ey.

General Use 39 3.7 Messages If there is a new message waiting to be pl ay ed back , you can access this using the Messages m enu. If no mess ages are waiting, t here will be no response activating thi s m enu. A sy m bol on the left indicates that there are one or more new messages pending, see 3.

Use the navigatio n keys to select the desired service and p ress the Services softk ey to enter the service.
41 4 Settings The Settings menu contains all the settings of the sy stem . Making changes to Settings wil l change the behavi or of the system. Settings 43 4.1.1 Syste m Status In the sy s tem s tatus menu you find information such as: IP address of your uni t. IP-subnet mask . Gateway . Boot Load ID. Software version. Serial number of your uni t. MAC-address of your unit.

Settings 45 4.1.3 View A dministrator Settings To show the settings currently us ed, enter the View Adm inistrator Settings menu. Here y ou will find the current configuration for: IP TF.

Changes in IP Settings menu will not hav e any ef fect befor e the sy s tem is r estarted. IP-assignment DHCP (Dy namic Hos t Configuration Protocol) can be selected w hen a DHCP server is present.

Settings 53 4.2.4 DNS Settings Up to five DNS (Dy nam ic Nam e Server) can be configured. The m inimum required is one. In addition, a DNS domain nam e must be provided. Note that if DHCP is used in the IP Settings, the DNS Se ttings menu will be di sabled.
D1374201_User_Manual_T550_T770_MXP_CCM 54 4.2.5 Data Port The system provides a standard RS232 serial ports to allo w a computer to be connected for data transfer and control purposes. Note that whe n connecting to a PC the connecting cable must be a straight through RS232 cable.
Settings 55 Mo dem Al lows y ou to control the system externally via a PC as in Control Mode. Once a call is established, Data po rt 1 will automatically switch to Data mode.

W hen m oving the camera, the system will use auto focus f or 5 seconds to set the right focus of the new camera position. After 5 seconds auto focus is turned off to prevent continuous focus adjustm ents of the cam era.
