A T T A CHING AND REMOVING THE LENS *How to mount the lens Remov e the rear lens cap and align the lens attachment mark on the lens barrel with its counterpart on the camera mount and inser t lens.
LENS APERTURE AND AE MODE * Setting lens f-numbers with Canon and Minolta cameras Set the f-number with the aper ture setting device of the camera body in accor- dance with the selected photographing mode .
LENS HOOD * Attaching the lens hood when the FEC is not attached 1. Align the attaching mark on the hood and the hood attaching mark on the lens, then mount the hood evenly .
Z OOMING Rotate the zoom ring of the lens while viewing thr ough the camera's viewfinder and compose your image at the chosen f ocal length. Z OOM L OCK SWIT CH Model A08 is equipped with a zoom lock mechanism that prev ents the lens bar- rel from extending to wards a longer focal length.
TRIPOD SOCKET (C ontinued) * Removing the tripod socket 1. T urn the tripod socket fixing screw in the counter clockwise direc tion and line up the white mark on the top of the knob with the tripod mount mark. 2. Pull the tripod socket fixing screw outward to open the tripod mount ring and then remov e the tripod socket.
