MOUNTING/REMOVING THE LENS Mounting After removing the r ear cap , place the lens in the camera mount aligning the lens mount index line with that of the camera body (Canon/Minolta/P entax).
MA CRO SWIT CHOVER MECHANISM The model 572D allows macr o photography b y operating the macro selector switch. The maximum magnification ratio in the macro phot ography mode is 1:2 (f = 300 mm, 0.95m). It is necessar y that the zoom be aligned to 180-300 mm when switching the macro selector switch from Normal to Macro .
APERTURE C ONTROL & AE SET TING Canon / Minolta Y our camera contr ols the aper ture depending on the shooting mode in use. Although the aper ture v alue varies in accordanc e with zooming , the camera itself reads out the change to provide aut omatic compensation.

PREC A UTIONS IN SHOOTING (con’ t) When you use a built-in flash, make sure to detach the lens hood . Certain camera models may indicate the maximum and minimum aperture values of the lens in appro ximate numbers. This is inherent to the design of the camera and not an indication of error .
