3 A MAS3 Overview Operating the MAS3 is straig ht forward and simply a matter o f plugging th e MAS3’s po wer supply into an available A.C. outlet, and then plugging th e MAS3’s power supply into the back of the MAS3. To operate the MAS3 manually, press the power swit ch, located on th e very left of the MAS3 to cy - cle power.

5 Programming your Remote Control Setting up your Universal Remote Control For remote control oper ations, the MAS3 requires eithe r a Universal Remote control to be pro - grammed as one o f eight pre-progra mmed devices, or alter natively, the MAS3 can be taugh t to use most existing remote controls.
6 Using Different Remote Codes Using Alternate Compon ent Keys on your Remote The MAS3 will also respond to alte rnate component key codes. Allo wing you to use an unused TV, VCR, RCVR or one of the added AUX positions many re motes include. Setting up the MAS3 to respond to alte rnate comp onent codes is a two step process.
7 S TEP 1 1 Place the MAS3 in standby m ode. This is th e factory default mo de on power up, and if it has not been changed, you can unplug the MAS3 and plug it back in and it will power up in standby mode (at this point on ly the powe r indicator light is lit and glowing RED).
8 Learning New Remote Codes Teaching the MAS3 to us e new remote control keys If your remote does not have one of the pre-pr ogrammed componen t codes, or you simply want to re-map the MAS3 functions to ot her keys on your rem ote, the MAS3 can be taugh t to use new keys.

10 S TEP 11 11 After a pause, the Power indicator blinks 7 tim es, and repeats. Press the key on your remote th at you want to use as the new key for P OWER OFF . 7 BLINKS S TEP 12 12 The MAS3 will return to the standb y mode indicating a return to normal operations.
11 Bright / Dim / Auto-dimming Modes Setting the Display intens ity modes of the MAS3 The front panel disp lay of the MAS3 can be se t to Bright, Dim or an Auto-d imming mode where the display brightens for 4 seconds after an y function is selected and then auto-dims.
