PICTURE SEARCH If you want to skip or repeat a scene during playback, press the F .FWD or the REW button. ¡ Press it again and the DVD/VCR will now search at super high speed. (in the LP/SLP modes only). INDEX SEARCH The index signal is recorded on the tape automatically when the recording is started.
– 20 – EN 1L25 RECORDING FUNCTION It may be UNLA WFUL to record copyrighted materi- al without the consent of the copyright owner . Accidental Erasure Pr evention T o prevent accidental recording on a recorded cassette, remove its record safety tab.
– 21 – EN 1L25 HINTS FOR TIMER RECORDING ¡ If there is a power failure or the DVD/VCR is unplugged for more than 30 seconds, the clock set- ting and all timer settings will be lost. ¡ If a tape ends during TIMER RECORDING, the VCR will stop, eject the tape, and switch to the DVD mode automatically as the TIMER SET light blinks.

– 23 – EN 1L25 PLA YING A DVD VIDEO OR AN AUDIO CD Getting started T urn on the power of the TV , amplifier and any other components which are connected to the DVD/VCR. (Change the input system to suite the DVD/VCR, and check that the sound volume is correct).
– 24 – EN 1L25 USING THE TITLE MENU W ith a DVD containing a title menu, you can select the desired titles from the menu. 1 Press the TITLE button. ¡ The title menu will appear . ¡ W ith some discs, a title menu may appear automati- cally . In this case, skip to step 2.
1 Press the FWD g or the REV h button during playbac k. ¡ For DVDs, pressing the FWD g or REV h but- ton cycles the playback speed in four steps. In the case of DVDs, the sound will mute. ¡ For audio CDs, the playback speed is fixed at × 16. 2 Press the PLA Y button to return to normal playbac k speed.

– 32 – EN 1L25 CHANGING THE CAMERA ANGLE (Multi-Angle Pictures) The DVD/VCR has a function which allows you to select the desired camera angle. 1 Press the ANGLE button during pla yback. ¡ If the disc contains sequences recorded from differ- ent camera angles, the angle icon ( ) will appear at the top-right of the screen.

TIME: Elapsed time of the current title and remaining time of the current title. Y ou can check the information regarding the disc by pressing the DISPLA Y button on the remote control.
