PRECAUTIONS INSTALL LOCATION For saf et y and opti m um perf orman ce of yo ur VCR : ● Install the VCR in a horizontal and stable position. Do not pl ace anything d irectly on top of the VCR. Do not place the VCR directly on top of the TV. ● Shield it from direct sunlight and keep it away from sour ces of intens e heat.

INITIAL SET UP FOR USE SETTING TH E CH3/CH4 SWITCH If your TV do es not ha ve A/V ter minals : When the VCR is in the Playback mode o r when the VCR is in the VCR positio n, your TV will receive sig- nals from the VCR on eith er chan nel 3 o r 4 .
SET UP FOR USE AGAIN TO ADD/DELETE CHANNELS When the VCR automatically programs the tuner to scan only the ch annels you receive in your ar ea, som e chan- nels may b e skipped due to a weak signal. Y ou can manu ally a dd the channel in the VCR me mory .
PLA YBACK FUNCTION NORMAL PLA YBACK 1 Insert the prerecord ed tape. Th e VCR will turn on. If the safety tab has been r emoved, t he V CR w ill start playback autom atically . 2 T urn on the T V and set th e TV to channel 3 o r 4. Now set the CH3 /CH4 switch on the back of the VCR to match the channel selected on the T V .
RECORDING FUNCT ION Befo re recording , make sure: ● The desi red channel is selected by pressin g the nu m- ber buttons on the rem ote cont rol o r the CHANNEL Up/Dow n butt on.
TIMER RECORDING Y ou may set the VCR to start recordi ng while you are away . Y ou ca n set seven progra ms to record on specific days, daily or weekly wi thin a 1 year period. 1) Insert a tape with its safety tab into the VCR. 2) Select main m enu by pressing the MENU button.
SPECIAL FEA TURES AUTO REWIND When a tape has r eached the end d uring r ecording, play- back, or fast-forward, th e tape will automatically rewind to the beginning. After rewinding finishes, the VCR will eject the tape and turn itself to off . ● The tape will not auto-rewind during timer record ing or One Touch Recordin g.
