1 Featur es This Serial A T A host controller card is designed to of fer a high performance, cost effective and reliability solution to user who ne eds to accomm odate storage perip herals with the new Serial A T A interface.
2 Driver Installation Note: Curr ent drivers can only support W indows 98/98SE, ME, NT , 2000 and XP . Driver Locations This Serial A T A host controller ca rd has two sets of drivers. a) SIL31 14RAID : Serial A T A host contro ller card (BIOS with RAID function).
3 (a) BIOS with RAID function: Copy the /Silicon_Image/SIL31 14RAID/Win_Drv driver from the Driver CD to the diskette. (b) BIOS without RAID function: Copy the /Silicon_Image/SIL31 14/W in_drv d r i v e r f r o m t h e Driver CD to the diskette.
4 (2) Click “ OK ” to continue. S tep 7: Click “ Ye s ” to restart your computer to complete driver installation. St e p 8 : Finally , switch off your system. Connect the SA T A hard disk from the mainboard’ s SA T A controller to the Serial A T A host controller card and start W indows NT .
5 Installing RAID Management Software This software is use to monitor and manage the RAID set under W indows environment. T o install this RAI D Management software, please follow these steps: S tep 1: Start W i ndows. S tep 2: Click “ S tart ”, and then “ Run ”.
