OPERATING YOUR TRAILMOWER INTENDED US E The 44” TrailMower is desig ned to produce a quali ty finish c ut on lawns, gol f courses, etc. It is no t intended t o clear brush or cut sapl ings. Your Trai lMower should be towed behind an ATV, golf ca rt, lawn tracto r, or othe r approved vehic le.
• Set vehicle p arking brake or c hock wheels to p revent acciden tal roll ing. • Start engin e properly. • Slowly, engag e blade control. • In a safe env ironment, i.e. no children, a llow blades to rotate and eng ine to idle for 5 m inutes. This b reaks in the b elts and th e engine.
• There is approxim ately 1 ½” to 4 ½” of he ight adjust ment. • Rotate heigh t adjust cr ank handle(s ) in a clockwise d irect ion to lift the mower deck. A counter- clockwise direc tion is used to lower the m ower deck. • For best resu lts, see “SUGGESTED PRACTICE” section.
SUGGESTED MOWING PRACTICES • Operate mower engin e at full throttl e to assure the best cu tting perform ance and maximum material discharge. • Allow wet grass to d ry. Wet gras s will clum p and collec t under the mowing deck. • Mowing should be s tarted with tow vehicle in low gear and increased on ly as safe mowing condit ions permit .
MOWER MAINTENANCE GENERAL RECOM MENDATIONS The warranty on thi s Trail Mower does not cover i tems that have been sub jected to operator abuse o r negligenc e. To receive ful l value f rom the warran ty, operator m ust maintain unit as in structed in this m anual.
BLADE CA RE AND SERVICE For best resu lts cutt er blades m ust be kept sharp. The blades c an be sharpened with a few strokes of a file or gr inding wheel. Do not at tempt to sharpen blade s while they are on the cutte r. Disconnect spark p lug wire before servicing un it.
