Be sure to connect these connectors to the 24-pin (JPW1) and the two 8-pin (JPW2,JPW3) power connectors on the motherboard.

If you have followed all of the procedures below and still need assistance, refer to the ‘T echnical Support Procedures’ and/or ‘Returning Merchandise for Service’ section(s) in this chapter .

4-3 Chapter 4: T roubleshooting Memory Errors When a No_Memory_Beep_Code is issued by the system, check the following: Make sure that the memory modules are compatible and that the DIMM mod- 1. ules are properly and fully installed. (For memory compatibility , refer to the Memory Compatibility Chart posted on our website @ http://www .

Chapter 5: AMI BIOS 5-1 Chapter 5 BIOS 5-1 Introduction This chapter describes the AMI BIOS Setup Utility for the X8DTN+-F . The AMI ROM BIOS is stored in a Flash EEPROM and can be easily updated. This chapter describes the basic navigation of the AMI BIOS Setup Utility setup screens.
5-2 X8DTN+-F User ’s Manual Starting the Setup Utility Normally , the only visible Power-On Self-T est (POST) routine is the memory test. As the memory is being tested, press the <Delete> key to enter the main menu of the AMI BIOS Setup Utility .

Chapter 5: AMI BIOS 5-1 1 North Bridge Con fi guration This feature allows the user to con fi gure the settings for the Intel North Bridge. Intel I/O A T This feature works with the Intel I/O A T (Acceleration T echnology) to accelerate the performance of T OE devices.
5-12 X8DTN+-F User ’s Manual South Bridge Con fi guration This feature allows the user to con fi gure the settings for the Intel South Bridge. USB Functions Select Enabled to use onboard USB connections. The Options are: Disabled, and Enabled .
Chapter 5: AMI BIOS 5-13 SA T A#1 Con fi guration If Compatible is selected, it sets SATA#1 to legacy compatibility mode, while se- lecting Enhanced sets SATA#1 to native SATA mode. The options are Disabled, Compatible and Enhanced . Con fi gure SA T A#1 as This feature allows the user to select the drive type for SA T A#1.
