Chapter 1: Intro duction 1-1 1 Slow Blinking LED for Suspend-State Indicator When the CPU goes i nto a sus pend stat e, the ch assis po wer LED wi ll start blinking to indicate that the CPU is in suspend mode. When the user pres ses any key , the CPU will wake up and the LED will auto matically stop blinking and remain on.

2-2 X7SLM-L User's Manual 2-2 Motherboard Installation All motherboards have st andard mounting holes to fi t dif ferent types of chassis. Make sure that t he locations of all the mounting holes for bot h motherboard and chassis match.

Align the CP U key that is the semi-circle cutout b elow a golde n dot against the socket key , the Notch on the same side of the tria ngle cutout on the sock et.

If the CPU is prop erly instal led into the so cket, the pla stic PnP cap will be automatic ally rele ased from the load plate whe n the loa d lever is pushed in the lever lock.

It secures the system from unau- thorized us e by restrict ing access to persons only w ith the prope r superviso r-level password. Sel ect this feature and press <Enter>, and then type in the Supervisor Password.
