R9830 350 Oct opus User Gui de (200 1-08) 4-2 4.1 Octopus Server The O CT OPUS S ERVER is the central application in the O CTOPUS remote control s oftware. This software, installed on a wallboard display ser v er, will co m municate w ith O CTOPUS C LIE N T and Administrator applications.

A non-connect ed client is not cap able of controlling a rem ote wallbo ard display, as it is not in communication with any O CTOPUS serv er.

In an environment where there are m ultiple co m puters to be access ed, it is possible to connect to multiple servers simulta neously.
R9830 350 Oct opus User Gui de (200 1-08) 4-6 To connect to a serv er, it is first necessary to add that serv er to the server informat ion area . Click the Ad d button to pop up A dd ser ver dialog that w ill allow you to add the serv er name to the list.
