STEAMER MODULE OPERA TION BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME C lean your steamer module thoroughly with hot water and a mild detergent. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. This removes any residual oil a nd grease left on the surface from the manu- facturing process.
9 STEAMER MODULE OPERA TION SETTING CONTR OLS T he control panel of your electric steamer module is illuminated and features touch controls with graduated control lighting and t emperature display . Refer to the illustrations below . T o activate the steamer module, first touch the OFF ON touch pad on the touch control panel.
10 TIMER OPERA TION The control panel of the steamer module has an independent 99-minute timer . Refer to the i llustration below . This function can be used with or without the unit in operation.

13 STEAMING TIPS Cooking with steam is a healthy and efficient way to prepare food. The steamer module can be used with e ither the solid or perforated insert pan. Always preheat the steamer module except when slow cooking. It is recommended that you keep the domed glass lid on the steamer module during cooking time.
14 SLO W COOKING OPERA TION 1) Fill the steamer basin with 16 cups (3.8 L) water , so water will reach the bottom of the i nsert pan and up the sides slightly . 2 ) A dd food to the solid insert pan. Add up to 7 cups (1.7 L) liquid to be cooked. Make sure the food is completely covered with l iquid.
