1 Introduction Thank you f or purchasing a StarT ech.com Professional USB Console KVM Switch. This product offers a reliab le and efficient way to manage multiple computers in server rooms, or an y other environment where space is at a premium.
2 Inst allation NO TE: Prior to the installation, please power off all de vices that will be connected to this system. Ensure that all devices y ou will connect are proper ly grounded. Place cables a wa y from fluorescent lights, air conditioners, and machines that are likely to generate electrical noise.
3 USB Keyboar d and USB Mouse: Slide switch to the f ar right position. NO TE: When configuring the switch as a Slav e in a cascaded configuration, PS/2 K eyboard and Mouse is the only mode that can be used. Therefore , SV431DUSB cannot be configured as a slav e in a cascaded setup , as it does not provide a slide s witch selector .
4 PS/2 Computer T o connect a computer controlled through PS/2, use a StarT ech.com 3-in-1 Ultra-Thin PS/2 KVM cable (Product ID: SVECON ) to connect from one of the PC por ts to the PS/2 ke yboard and mouse, as well as the VGA port of the computer system.
