1 Introduction Ove rvi ew The S tarView SV231 is a computer sw itch that al lows access to tw o IBM comp atible computer s from one keyboard, m ouse and monitor . Switching between computers i s as easy as pressing the p ush button or entering hot-k ey commands fro m your keyboard.

6 Initia l Po w er-u p Make sur e all computer s and the Star View SV231s are powered down during installation. After connection, p ower up the computers. The StarV iew can be powered fr om the computers. This procedure ensures the S tarV iew receive com puter settings correctly whe n computer boots.

10 The é and ê keys do not work in Manual Scan All PCs are off or only one PC is turned on. Scan mode works for power-on computers only . Turn computers on. Press any ot her key to abort Manual Scan mode. The S tarView fails to function occa sionally .
