19 SR530 Guide to Programming The SR53 0 Lock- in Am plifier is re motely programmab le via b oth RS2 32 and G PIB interfac es. It may b e used with labora tory computer s or simp ly with a termina l. All fr ont panel f eatures (ex cept s ignal in put selec tion and power) may be contr olled an d read via the computer interfac es.

33 The Signal Channel The instr ument has both cur rent and v oltage inputs. T he cur rent inp ut is a v irtual ground, a nd the 100 M Ω v oltage inputs c an be used as single- ended or tru e differe ntial inputs. There are three s ignal fi lters. Each of th ese filters may be sw itched 'in' or 'out' by th e user.
34 Circuit Description Introduction The SR53 0 Lock- in ampl ifier is an integr ated instrum ent combi ning stat e of the ar t analog design with advanc ed mic roproces sor base d contro l and interfac es. This discus sion is i ntende d to aid th e advanced user in ga ining a better unders tanding of the instrum ent.

38 Calibration and Repair This section details calib ration of the instrument. Calibration should be done only by a qualified electronics technicia n. ********* WARNING ****** *** The calibration procedure requires adju sting the instrument with power applied and so there is a risk of personal injury or death by electric shock.
39 The CMRR is adjusted by the sin gle turn potentiometer located at A1 under the single hole at the front of the signal shield. (The shield is the aluminum box on the left side of the main board). Using a small screwdri ver, carefully adjust the potentiometer to minimize the 100 Hz output on the scope.

An important point after buying a device SRS Labs SR530 (or even before the purchase) is to read its user manual. We should do this for several simple reasons:
If you have not bought SRS Labs SR530 yet, this is a good time to familiarize yourself with the basic data on the product. First of all view first pages of the manual, you can find above. You should find there the most important technical data SRS Labs SR530 - thus you can check whether the hardware meets your expectations. When delving into next pages of the user manual, SRS Labs SR530 you will learn all the available features of the product, as well as information on its operation. The information that you get SRS Labs SR530 will certainly help you make a decision on the purchase.
If you already are a holder of SRS Labs SR530, but have not read the manual yet, you should do it for the reasons described above. You will learn then if you properly used the available features, and whether you have not made any mistakes, which can shorten the lifetime SRS Labs SR530.
