T o Install Three AAA Batteries Three AAA batteries (not included) are required to maintain your personaliz ed greeting and recorded messages during a power failure . If there is a power failure and the batteries are not installed, both y our personalized greeting and recorded messages will be lost.
Choosing Y our Location Before making an y connections, locate F A970B near an AC po wer outlet and a wall telephone jack (RJ11C). T o Connect the T elephone Line 1. Plug the telephone line cord (connected to the back of the F A970B) into the modular outlet in your telephone wall jack .
2. Press the ANSWER ON/OFF button until you hear the correct minute . T o return to the previous minute, press the MAIL 1 or MAIL 2 button. AM/PM Set 1. Once you hear the correct minute, press the TIME SET/REPEA T button to set AM/PM. The unit will sa y “AM”.
