I NSTALLATION H EAVY D UTY C OU NTERLINE Step 2a: Installation on Countertop Legs To install the appliance using co unterto p legs, do the following: 1. Locate the box of four legs shipped with t he appliance (if countertop legs were ordered). 2. Raise the appliance about 6" so that the legs can be scre wed into the bottom near the corners.
H EAVY D UTY C OUNTERLINE I NSTALLATION Step 2b: Installation Directly on a N on-Combustible Countertop Surface The appliance may be installed directly onto a flat NON-COMBUSTIBLE surfa ce, as follo ws: 1. Place the appliance in the position that it will be used.

H EAVY D UTY C OUNTERLINE I NSTALLATION Step 2e: Installation on Floor Stand (60" Models) A 60" griddle may be installed on top of an option al floor stand (for 24", 36", and 48" griddles, go to Step 2d on page 13). The floor stand is shi pped in a separate crate and mu st be asse mbled, as follows: 1.

H EAVY D UTY C OUNTERLINE I NSTALLATION Step 3: Attach Restraint for Appliances Mounted on Casters NOTICE For an appliance equipp ed with casters, (1) the installation shall be mad e with a connector that complies with the Standard for Connectors for Mo vable Gas Appliances, ANSI Z21.
I NSTALLATION H EAVY D UTY C OU NTERLINE 2. Install eye-bolt (item “F”) to a f rame member on the rear of the appli ance. After checking carefully behind the frame member for adequate cleara nce, drill a 1/4" hole through the frame member. 3.
H EAVY D UTY C OUNTERLINE I NSTALLATION 5. Connect the vent line from the pressure regulator to the outdoors in acco rdance with local codes or, in the absence of local code s, with the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1 , Natural Gas Installation Code, CAN/CGA-B149.
I NSTALLATION H EAVY D UTY C OU NTERLINE Step 7: Final Installation Steps for Griddle Models This step applies only to the install ation of griddle models. New griddles should be carefully tempered and cared for in order to avoid possible damage. To break in a ne w gri ddle, do the following: 1.
H EAVY D UTY C OUNTERLINE O PERATION O PERATION ! DANGER EXPLOSION HAZARD Purchaser of equipment must po st in a prominent lo cation, detailed inst ructions to be followe d in the event the operator smells gas. Obtain the instructions from the local gas supplier.
O PERATION H EAVY D UTY C OUNTERLINE OPERATION OF GRIDDLE MODELS Each 12"-wide griddle sect ion has a thermostatic-contro l knob on the front panel that directly controls the flow of gas, and so the h eat. Turn the knob clockwis e to increa se the heat; turn it countercloc kwise to reduce the heat.
H EAVY D UTY C OUNTERLINE O PERATION OPERATION OF CHARBROILER MODELS Each 6"-wide charb roiler section has a kno b on the front p anel that directly controls the flow of ga s, and so the heat. Turn the knob counterclockwise to incre ase the heat; turn it clockwise to redu ce the heat.
O PERATION H EAVY D UTY C OUNTERLINE OPERATION OF OPEN-TOP BURNER MODELS Each 12"-wide op en-top burner se ction has two knobs o n th e front panel that directly control t he flow of gas to the section’s two burners, and so control the he at. Turn a knob clockwise to incre ase the heat; turn it counterclockwise to reduce the heat.

A DJUSTMENTS H EAVY D UTY C OUN TERLINE ADJUSTMENT OF PILOT FLAME (GRIDDLE MODELS) The pilots are adjusted at the factory. If later the pilo ts are over-adjusted to the point whe re the flame is leaving its port, or “blowing off,” the result i s an unstable condition in which the pilot may extinguish.
H EAVY D UTY C OUNTERLINE A DJUSTMENTS ADJUSTMENT OF BURNER FLAME The burners are adju sted at the fact ory. If necessary to adjust the burner flames, do the foll owing for each burner: 1. Turn the burner’s cont rol knob to the full ON po sition. 2.
A DJUSTMENTS H EAVY D UTY C OUN TERLINE ADJUSTMENT OF GRIDDLE THERMOSTATS Each burner’s control knob operates a snap -action ther mostatic valve that wa s adj usted at the factory. If the griddle surface temperature is different from th e thermostat dial setting, adjust the valve using the following procedure: 1.
