Read the entire Us er Guide before using equipment. • Do not mount the Source Four CE on or nea r a flammable surface. • Use the Source Four CE in dry locations only, where hu midity does not exceed 90 percent.
3 English Basic luminaire WARNING: Please note the following safet y warnings before use: Do not mount the luminaire on or near combustible surfa ces. Do not operate the luminair e without a lens installed. Always hang the lu minaire with the co lour frame ret aining clip in the locked positio n.
4 Source Four CE User Manual English Luminaire information Wiring and power information A plug of at least 2 .5 amp (220/2 40V) rating should be attached to the lumin aire’s mains lead.
5 English Colour frame holder The colour frame hold er is equipped with a spring-l oaded retaining clip that prevents colour frames and accessories from falling out. See Figure 2 . Step 1: Release the reta ining clip by pushing it sidewa ys while gently pulling backwards .
6 Source Four CE User Manual English Replacing the HPL lamp A lamp must be installed before you use the lumina ire. Step 1: Disconnect power to the Source Fo ur luminaire before installing the lamp. Step 2: Loosen the kn urled bolt on the ba ck of the lamp housing and pull the housing out.
7 English Centering lamp and adjusting the field The two concentric knob s located on the lamp housing allow you to align the lamp and adjust its field. See Figure 4 . The outer kno b centers the lamp within the reflecto r. The inner knob adjusts th e lamp’s field.
8 Source Four CE User Manual English Shaping the beam The beam can be shape d using the shutters (see Figur e 8 ), a gobo, a n optional drop-in iris, or by rotating the barrel. Gobo Projection The gobo holder slot is on the top side of the bar rel and in front of the shutters.
9 English Step 3: Insert the iris or motorized gobo device. Fo r an iris, install the flat side toward the shutters and make sure the iris handle extends from the slot. Step 4: Slide the slot cove r back toward the shutters until it me ets the iris handle .
10 Source Four CE User Manual English Setting the angle within the yoke Step 1: Loosen the yoke locking knob s (see Figure 11 ). Do not remove them. Step 2: Tilt the luminair e to the desired position. Step 3: Tighten the yo ke locking knobs to secur e in position.
11 English Step 1: Remove th e beam focus knob at the bottom of the b arrel (see Figure 1 ). Remove the lens tube from the barr el. Step 2: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the brackets that hold the lens in place.
