Installi ng the Printe r Driver 4 Windows 2000 Instal ling t he Printer Driver Bef ore Instal lation Connecting multiple printer s When se veral UP-CX1 series printers are connected t o a single computer , install the printe r dri ver for the f irst printer , a ccording to the e xplanatio n in “Instal lation Procedure.
Installi ng the Printe r Driver 5 Windows 2000 6 T o accept t he Software License A greement, cli ck [Agree]. The install ation destinat ion screen appea rs. 7 Select the boot disk as destin ation v olume and clic k [Con tinue]. The install ation type screen app ears.
Installi ng the Printe r Driver 6 Windows 2000 T o verify t hat the printer is read y for use, bring up the Printer L ist in the P rinter Set up Utility . If the m odel name of your UP -CX1 s eries prin ter is shown in th e list, the prin ter can be u sed.
Using More Than On e Pr inter 7 Windows 2000 2 Clic k the [Add] bu tton. The follo wing screen appears. 3 In th e popup menu, sel ect [USB] . 4 Select t he printer wi th your p rinter nam e in [Product] an d “Sony ” in [T ype]. Select “SONY UP- CX1 series printer” for [Printer Model].
Using More Than On e Pr inter 8 Windows 2000 5 Connect th e printe r to be add ed to the comp uter, and turn power to tha t printer o n. After a whil e, the connec ted printer will be automat ically r ecognized and added to th e Printer List. When the p rinter is ad ded to th e list, the ins tallati on is complete.

Making Print Settin gs 11 Windows 2000 Making Prin t Settings Before pri nting from an application, you shou ld make print sett ings on the pr int sheet . T o bring up t he print sheet, access the [File ] menu of the application, select [Print], and select the printer from the [Printer s] popup menu.

Adjust the color ba lance by mov ing the sliders left o r right, or by direct ly entering v alues in the edit box es.
