3 Overview The LocationFree TV’s NetA V function enables you to enjoy video entertainment content while you’re away from home. Using a public wireless access (also know n as a hotspot ) or a wired LAN, such as in a ho tel room, you can watch TV an d even control your VCR or DV D player in your home.

5 Step 1 Check Y our Curr ent N etwork Set Up Network connection Y ou must have a br oadband conn ection (DSL, cable mod em, etc.) with uplink and downlink speeds of at least 30 0 kbps. The more uplink ba ndwidth you have available, the better yo ur NetA V performance.
6 Step 2 Obtain a Dynami c Domain Name If you do not already have a fixed IP address, you will need to register with a dyn amic DNS service such as Dynam ic Network Services Inc., a provider of dynamic D NS and other network services. Y ou can register with www .
7 3 Read the Use Policy , and then check the Agre e box A . Next, en ter your Username B , E-mail addr ess C and Passwo rd (up to 16 charact ers) D . ( Make a note of yo ur Username and Passw ord, which you’ll use to confi gure the LocationFree TV , described on the next page).
8 Step 3 Configur e Locatio nFree TV f or DDNS 1 Make sur e your LocationFree TV is connected in the Home/W ireless mode. 2 In the Settings men u, go to Base station > Ne tA V Setti ngs > Dynamic DNS . Enter the follow ing informatio n in the appropriate field .
9 Step 4 Configur e Locatio nFree TV f or Y our Home Router In this section you will specif y or “lock” an IP addr ess from your router to the LocationFr ee Base Station. 1 Go to Settin gs > Base station > Internet Connections > LAN (DHCP/Man ual IP address settings) .
10 6 Configure the base station NetA V settings to send video from the base station to a r emote computer in the Enable/D isable NetA V screen, as described below . 7 Configure the monitor to receive video from th e base station in the NetA V Settin gs screen, as de scr ibe d bel ow .

12 Step 6a Connect NetA V from a Hot spot Finding a signal corr esponding to a hotspot 1 Go to Settings > Monitor > and set On t he go to Wi r e l e s s A . 2 Go to Settings > Monitor > On th e go -Wireles s > Settings > Publ ic W ireless Access .

14 Step 6b Connect NetA V from a Wired LAN 1 Connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the monitor . 2 Go to Settings > Monitor . In the On the go section, select W ired LAN A . 3 Press the Index button and select We b to open up the LocationFree TV br owser .
