13 Hooking Up the Components Setting the voltage selector If your receiver has a voltage selector on the r ear panel, check that the voltage selector on the rear panel of the receiver is set to the local power supply voltage. If not, use a screwdriver to set the selector to the corr ect position before connecting the AC power cord to a wall outlet.

15 Hooking Up and Setting Up the Speaker System z T o connect certain speakers to another amplifier Use the PRE OUT jacks. The same signal is output fr om both the SPEAKERS jacks and the PRE OUT jacks. For example, if you want to connect just the front speakers to another amplifier , connect that amplifier to the PRE OUT FRONT L and R jacks.
16 Hooking Up and Setting Up the Speaker System Speaker impedance T o enjoy multi channel surround, connect fr ont, center , and rear speakers with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms or higher , and set the speaker IMPEDANCE SELECTOR to “8 Ω .” Check the instruction manual supplied with your speakers if you’re not sur e of their impedance.
