6 About this manual About th is ma nual • This manual main ly explains o perations using the remote, but the same opera tions can also be performed u sing the bu ttons on th e DVD-VCR having t he same or si milar names . • “D VD” m ay be use d as a gene ral term fo r DVD VIDEOs, D VD-R Ws/DVD-Rs, and D VD+RWs/ DV D + R s .

Y our D VD- VCR can pick up this ti me signal to automa tically set th e clock. The Auto Clock Set feat ure works only if a channel in your area is broadc asting a time signal.

24 Setting the clock Notes • The clo ck cannot be set automat ically if you d o not receive a channel th at carries a ti me signal in your a rea. If so, set the cl ock manu ally (p age 24) . • If there a re only a few channels i n your area that carry time signals, setti ng the clock automat ically may take up to a bout 20 mi nutes.
