16 System Configuration Connection to ISDN is required to use the PCS-B384 or PCS-B768 ISDN Un it especially designed for use with this system. This allows you: • To hol d a poin t-to- point v ideo confer ence ov er ISDN . • To show still images stored in a “Memory Stick”.
17 System Configuration Chapter 1: Installa tion and Pre paration You need to install the optional PCS-323M1 H.32 3 MCU software. This allows you: • To hold a multipoint videoconference among up to ten sites over LAN. • To show still images stored in a “Memory Stick”.

Two Communication Terminals in which MCU software is installed must be conn ec ted v ia a LAN .

24 Preparing the System Prepar ing the System Most of the operations with the Video Communication System can be controlled with the supplied Remote Commander. 1 Remove the battery compartment cover. 2 Insert two size AA (R6) batter ies (supplied) with correct po larities into the battery compartment.
25 Preparing the S ystem Chapter 1: Installa tion and Pre paration If you use a Sony TV, inse rt the IR rep eater un der the rem ote senso r of the TV. Once you se t the IR r epeater, the TV will turn on or go to standby tog ether with the Communication Terminal when you press the " / 1 butto n on the supp lie d Remot e Comm ander .
26 Turning the System On/Off Turning the Sy stem On/Off This section describes how to turn on or off the Communication Terminal. 1 Turn on the TV monitor. If the IR repeate r is installed i n the TV monit or, set the TV monitor to standb y mode. T he TV monitor will tu rn on simultan eously when the C ommunication Terminal is t urned on.

28 Turning the System On/Off You can turn on the Video Commu nication System with the @ / 1 button on the Remote Commander if it is in standby mode. 1 Display the launcher menu on the monitor screen, then press the @ / 1 button on the Remote Commander.

85 Adjusting the Sound Chapter 3: Daily Videoconference Adjusting the Sound You can adjust the volume of the sound to be received from a remote party. Press the VOLUME + button on the Remote Comman der to increase the volume, VOLUME – button to decrease it.
86 Adjusting the Sound You can cut off the sound to be sent to a rem ote party when yo u have answered a call f rom the remote party. If you set “Mic on Answer” to “Off” in the Answer Setup menu, only the picture on the local party will be sent to the remote party when answering a call.
87 Adjusting the Ca mera Chapter 3: Daily Videoconference Adjusting the Camera You can adjust the image shot by the local camera that is sent to the remote party to obt ain th e desir ed an gle and s ize. During communication you can also control the camera o n the remote site to adjust the image shot by the remote camera.
88 Adjusting the Camera Determine the angle o f view and the size of the picture to be di splayed on the monitor screen by adjusting the angle and zoom. You can make adjustments in the monitor screen during communication and in the launcher menu when not in communication.

Press the ZOOM T button to zoom in (to enlarg e image), and t he ZOOM W button to zoom out (to ob tain wider range of i mage).
