Set ti ng Up th e Machi ne 4 STE P1 1 1 Removi ng the prot ective part s 1 Remove t he prote c t ive tape a nd film covering the scanner glass. 2 Remove the foam bag cont aining the ink cartridges from on top of t he paper tray. Im prop er Set up D O NOT connect th e USB cable.
Setti ng Up the Ma chin e 5 3 Fan the stack of paper well to avoid pape r j a ms and misfeeds. 4 Gently put the paper into the paper tray print side down and top edge first. Check that the paper is f lat in the tray. 5 Gently adjust the paper side guides with both hands to fit t h e paper.
Set ti ng Up th e Machi ne 6 STE P1 3 Co nnecting t he phone lin e 1 Connect th e telephone line c ord. Conne c t one end of the t elephone line cord to the socket on the machin e marked LI NE a nd the ot her end to a modul ar wall s o cket. Im prop er Set up D O NOT connect th e USB cable.
Setti ng Up the Ma chin e 7 5 S et Your C oun try (Fo r A ust ralia / New Ze aland Customer Only ) You must set your country so tha t the machine works correctl y. 1 Check that the power is t urned on by connecting the power cord. The LCD shows: Set Country q Press OK Key 2 Pre ss OK .

Im prop er Set up D O NOT t ouch t he are a show n in th e il lustrat ion be low. Note If the protective yellow cap comes off when you open the bag , the cartridge wil l not be damaged.

The LCD shows: Preparing System q Approx 4 Minutes Cleaning q Please Wait Caution • DO NO T take out i n k cartridges if you do not need to replace th em.
