A C Input receptacle - For attaching the suppl ied AC pow er cord to the amp lifier. 3. Speaker outputs - For connecting the speaker s to the amplifier.
Page 6 If the control function is desired, each uni t in the system must remai n connected at all times and the control must be enabled. To enabl e the control function, the CTRL ENABLE button must be out for each controllabl e amplifier in the sy stem.
Page 7 Example: W hen using 4 ohm and 8 ohm speakers together, the 4 ohm may sound louder then 8 ohm at a g iven v olume level. The l evel contr ols on the ampli fier are used to match the speakers volume level. Clockwise w ill increase the output. Counter clockwise will decrease the outp u t.
Page 8 Five w ay binding posts are pr ovided. One pai r for each channel. They ar e designed to accept a banana-type pl ug or spade lug connector (show n below) and are color coded for easy identificati on. The red (+) post should alw ays be connected to the speakers ( +) jack.
Page 9 In order to g ain access to the internal bus structur e, you must first r emove the top cover . Turn the amplifier so the rear panel i s facing y our. The jumper modul es may be seen on the circuit boar d just behind the lev el controls. Below i s the default setup for the ST1200 series II amplifier.
Page 10 Along w ith being the right channel input, it is used as the i nput to the right bus and the right sour ce for the ‘L+R BUS’ . Because it is a BUS i nput, any signal input here w ill appear at the ‘R BUS’ jumper terminal f o r both of the ST1200 series II ’ s jumper modul es.
Page 11 The ST1200 series II ’s tw o output channels may be parallel ed (mono) to combine the left and right channels output cur rent. This feature all ows the ampli fier to double its apparent output current. To use, pl ace the source group j umper for both channels on the ‘L BUS’ jumper terminal.
Page 12 The ST1200 series II may be bridg ed to driv e a high i mpedance speaker. To use, place the source gr oup jumper for both channels on the ‘L BU S’ jumper terminal . Place the volume g roup jumper for both channels on the ‘ NO VOL’ jumper ter minal.
