14 Getting start ed x Charging time • The table above show s the time required t o charge a fully deplete d batter y pack at a temperature of 25°C (77 °F). Chargin g may ta ke longer de pending on conditio ns of use and circ umstances. • Connec t the battery charger to th e nearest wall outlet (wall socket ).

17 Getting start ed Setting th e clock • The camera does not have a feature for supe rimposing date s on images. By usin g “PMB” in the CD-ROM (supp lied), you can print or save images wit h the date.

24 Selecting a flash mode • You cannot use (Flash On) or (Slo w Synchro) when Scene Recognition is set to [Au to] or [Advanced]. • Even wit h flas h on, th e flash m ay not operate d uring burst. 1 Touch (Flash ) t desire d mode t . 25 Using shooting functions Focusing on a specific point of the frame Simply to uch the poi nt of t he frame you wish to focus on to c hange the focus position. Focusing on the face of the subject (Face Detection) The cam era det ects the fa ce of the sub ject an d focuses on it.
26 Selecting the image size to mat ch the usage The image s ize determine s the siz e of the image file th at is re corded when y o u tak e a image. The larger the image si ze, the more deta il will be reproduc ed when the image is pr inted on larg e-for mat paper .

37 Deleting images Deleting all im ages (Format) You ca n delete al l data stor ed on “Mem ory Stick Duo” or the intern al memo ry. If a “Mem ory Stick Duo” is ins erted, all data stored on the “M emory St ick Duo” are delet ed. If no “Memory Sti ck Duo” is inserted , a ll data stored in the inter nal memory ar e deleted.

41 Connecting to other devices x Installing the “PMB” (supplied) You can install the soft w are (su pplied) usin g the following proced ure. When you install “PMB ,” “Musi c Transfer ” is also i nstalled. • Log on as Administr ator. 1 Check your computer environment .
42 x Importing images to your computer using “PMB” • Do not disconnec t the cable for multi- use termina l from the camera while the camera is oper ating or while “Acce ssing…” appears on the screen of the camera. Doing so may corrupt th e data.
