13 Getting star te d Number of images and battery life that can be recorded / viewed The tables show the appr oximate number of images and the bat tery life that ca n be recorded/ viewed when you shoot images in normal mode with a fully charged battery pack at a tem perature of 25°C ( 77°F).

The SET UP scree n appears. • When im ages are s hot with the date and time superimposed, the date and time cannot be removed later. • The date and time do not appear on the screen during shooting, instead, “ ” appears in the upper left corner of the screen.

50 Displaying a histogram A histogram is a gra ph show ing the brightn ess of th e pi xels cont ai ned in an image. The hori zontal axi s sh ows th e brigh t ness, and th e ve rtical axi s sho ws th e numbe r of pix els. Displ aying a h istogram during re cording or pl ay back lets you deter min e th e pr o pe r expos u re.
