Viewing fr om another Angle 33 Some D VDs may contain scenes which ha ve been shot simultaneously from a number of diff erent angles. For these discs , the same scene can be view ed from each of these different angles using the ANGLE button. (The recorded angles differ depend- ing on the disc used.
Product a 3D Surr ound Effect 34 This unit can produce a 3D Surround eff ect, using 3D Surround Sound technology , which simulates multi- channel audio pla yback from two con ventional stereo speakers instead of the fiv e or more speakers nor- mally required to listen to multi-channel audio from a home theater .

Selection of Initial Settings Initial Settings 45 Once the initial settings hav e been completed, the pla yer can alwa ys be operated under the same con- ditions (especially with D VD discs). The settings will be retained in the memor y until they are changed, e ven if the pow er is switched off .
Selecting Disc Language 46 This is to select the audio soundtrac k language, sub- title language and the language used in title menus or D VD menus which will alwa ys be used f or ev er y disc to be pla yed back.
Movies on D VDs may contain scenes not suitable f or children. Therefore , discs may contain P arental Control inf or mation that applies to the complete disc or to cer tain scenes on the disc. These scenes are rated from 1 to 8, and alternatively , more suitable scenes are av ailable f or selection on some discs.
