Before using the receiver for the first time, initialize the rec eiver by pe rforming the following pro cedure. This pro cedure can also be used to return settings yo u have m ade to their factory defa ults.

31 GB Getting Started 8: Calibrating the appropriate settings automatically (AUTO CALIBRA TION) This receiver is equipp ed with DCAC (Dig ital Cinem a Auto Calib ration) T echnolo gy whi ch allows you to perform automati c calibratio n as follows: • Chec k the connec tion between each speake r and the receiver.
32 GB 1 Connect the supplied optimizer micropho ne to t he A UT O CAL MIC jack. 2 Set up the optimizer micropho ne. Place th e optim izer micr ophone at your listening po sition. Use a stool or tripod so that the opt imizer micropho ne remains at the same height as your ears.
33 GB Getting Started Press A UT O CAL. Measure ment starts in 5 seconds. A count down is disp layed. The measure ment process will take approx imately 30 seco nds to comp lete.
