INTRODUCTION Thank you for pur chasing Sonance V irtuoso® DR -series in-ceiling speak ers. When pr operly installed, these speakers will give y ou many y ears of entertain- me nt pleasure. T o get the most out of your new speak ers, please read this manual thoroughly before y ou begin installation.
2 Lef t & Right Surr ound Speaker s (5. 1-Channel Syst em) Locate the left and right surround speakers on the ceiling between 2 feet and 6 feet behind the listening position.
3. The cutout for all Virtuoso DR speakers is 10 1 / 8 ” (257mm). There also must be at least 6” (152mm) depth w ithin the ceiling cavity for the speaker . 4. Position the included cut out template where the speaker is t o be located and pencil an outline on the ceiling.
4 T o pivot the Sonic Eye: Apply light pressur e to the tweete r ring and the outside edge of the midrange, as shown below in Illustration 6 . Do not apply pressure to the midrange c one or the tweeter dome.
