3 INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasi ng the Soleus Air KY -36 14,000 BTU Portable Evapor ative Air Conditioner and Heater . This unit is designed to improve indoor li ving and working comfort by providing cooling, d ehumidifying, heating, and ventil ation with minimal installation.
LCDI POWER CORD AND PLUG This air conditioner is equippe d with an LCDI (Leakage Current Detecti on and Interruption) power cord and plug as re quired by US National Electric Code 440. 65. This cord consists of a length of shie lded flexible cord with no termination on the lo ad side and a LCDI attachment plug o n the line side.

INST ALLA TION SELECTING THE LOCA TION Place the unit in a flat location where the air outlets cannot be obstructed. Place the unit no less than 20” (50cm) away f rom a wall or other obstacle. MOUNTING THE EXHAUST HOSE Slide the square end of the ex haust duct over the hot air outlet on the back of the unit.
WINDOW KIT INST ALLA TION The window kit has been desig ned to fit into most standard vertical and horizont al windows. However , it may be nece ssary to modify some aspects of the installation pro cess for certain window types. 1. Open the window or sliding door and adjust the length of the window kit to f it the opening.
CONTROL P ANEL AND LED DISPLA Y CONTROL P ANEL TIMER Button Press this button to turn the ti mer on/off. MODE Button Press this button to select amo ng the modes of cooling, dehumidifying, fanni ng, or heating. TEMP – Button This button decreases the ro om temperature/timer hours.
9 OPERA TION Plug the power cor d into a properly groun ded outlet. Do not co nnect the unit to an outlet that is also being use d for other electrical appliances. The unit will beep after two seconds, then press the on/off button to begin operation. COOLING 1.

NOTE: In heating mode, the drain pi pe accessory must be used to empty the wa ter container . 1. Remove the rubber plug and k eep for future use. 2. Connect the drain tube access ory to the drain hole. Place drain pan at e nd of drain tube; water will drain out automatically during operatio n.
