4 FEA TURES OF THE SR3 0 THX SURROUND Unique Cabinet Design A sealed enclosure above and a unique matrix arr ay below project sound in thr ee distinct polar patterns . The truss panel bottom reduces the detrimental effects of standing waves within the cabinet.
5 Placement (cont.) Listening Room Placement Follow these guidelines for proper placement. (Refer to Ideal SR30 THX Placement diagram.) Height Place the surrounds at least 5 feet (1.5m) fr om the floor , yet 12 inches (30cm) from the ceiling. Higher is better .
6 WALL MOUNTING Y OUR S R3 0 THX SURROUNDS The SR30 THX is mounted via a unique slide-on mounting plate. The plate is first scr ewed to the wall at the appr opriate position and then the speaker slides down, firmly locking in place. The plate must be mounted with the long groove towar d the wall and the notch at the bottom.
7 CONNECTING THE S R3 0 THX SURROUNDS (CONT .) For Seven-Channel Applications Select the diffuse surround mode with the toggle switch. Remove the gold jumper bars fr om the inputs . Connect the two sets of speaker cable to the appropriate 7.1 channel inputs.
