2 Installation Considerations For best results, Hansgrohe recommends that this unit be installed by a licensed, professional plumber . Please read over these instructions thoroughly before beginning installation. Make sure that you have all tools and supplies needed to complete the installation.
3 Installation Install the friction washer and fiber washer on the valve. Push the valve up through the hole in the mounting surface. Install the sealing ring, escutcheon, and nut. Rest the valve assembly on the mounting surface (1). T ighten the screws (2).
4 Check the alignment of the handles. If one is not aligned, pull it off (1), turn it slightly (2), and reinstall it (3). Install the glide ring and the o-ring.
5 Lubricate spout the o-ring. Push the spout into place. T ighten the spout screw with a 2 mm Allen wrench. T ighten the mounting nut screws. Install the drain pull rod.
6 Thread the connecting hoses into the spout shank by hand. Connect the hoses to the valves with the compression fittings. T ighten the fittings using two wrenches. Do not allow the hoses to twist. Install the hot and cold supply lines (not included).
7 Install the pop-up drain Remove the plunger assembly . Unscrew the drain outlet flange from the tee. Unscrew the tailpiece from the tee. W rap the threads with plumbers’ thread tape and replace. Install the white, flexible sealing gasket to the flange.
8 Cleaning (34133 only) If the flow of water diminishes over time, unscrew the aerator using the ser vice key . Rinse the aerator with clear water . Reinstall the aerator .
