12 BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE SAFEGUARDING THE ENVIRONMENT • Your new appliance is designed exclusively for domestic use To get the most out of your new appliance, read the user handbo ok thoroughly. The handbook contains a description of the appliance and useful tips for storing food.
13 PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS • Use the refrigerator compartment only for storing fresh food and beverages and use the freezer compartment only for storing frozen food, freezing fresh food and making ice cubes. • After installatio n, make sure that the app lian ce is not standin g on the power supply cable.
14 KNOW YOUR APPLIANCE The appliance you have just bought, marked by the symbol, allows the freezing - in of fresh and cooked food, the prod uction of ic e cubes and the st orage of froz en food.
15 ELECTRICAL CONNECT ION A ND OPERATION Please check that the voltag e indicated on the rating plate situated inside t he compartment corresponds to the voltage in your home.
16 FREEZING IN (Fig. 6) The amount of fresh food which can be frozen in a 24 hours period at an ambient temperature of +25° C is stated on the ratin g plate.
17 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING A periodic and pr oper ma intenance will ensure a longer life to your appl iance. Disconnect the appliance f rom the mains supply before any intervention. Clean period ically the appliance with a solution of water and vinegar.
