Installation instructions 5 2. Inst allation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene bask et retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may be placed up a gainst walls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 CONNECTING TO THE WATER SUPPLY Connect the intake hose to a cold water supply with ¾” gas thread, inserting the filter A supplied w it h the dishwasher. Take care to screw the h ose firmly into place with your h ands and then complete b y tightening about ¼ of a turn with pliers.
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precaution s CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

Fuse replacemen t If the mains lead of this appl iance is fitted with a BS 1363A 13amp fused plug, to change a fuse in this type of plug use a n A.S .T .A. ap proved fuse to BS 1362 type and proceed as follo w s : 1.
User instructions 9 3. Description of the controls 3.1 Upper panel All the dishwasher controls are gr ou ped on the upper panel. Switch-on, programming, switch-off etc. procedur es are onl y possible when the door is open. 1 ON/OFF BUTTON Pressing this button energises the appl iance.
User instructions 10 8 DELAYED START BUTTON Pressing this button in sequence delays th e start of the program by 3, 6 or 9 hours. 9 DELAYED START LIGHTS Illuminate to show that start delayed by 3, 6 or 9 hours has been set.

User instructions 12 3.2 Washing programs Before starting a washing pro g ram make sure that: • The water supply tap is open. • The correct amount of detergent has been added to the dispenser . • The baskets have been correctly lo ad ed. • The spray arms are abl e to rotate freely and without obstruction.
User instructions 13 CANCELLING THE CURRENT PROGRAM • To cancel the currentl y sele cted program, open the door and hol d down the PROGRAM SELECTION (3) button for a few seconds until the indicator lights for programs 4 and 5 illuminate simultaneously (the word "end" is displ ayed on the window).
User instructions 14 If the door has to be opened while washing is in progress, the progr am will be interrupted. The relativ e light will keep flashing and a bee per will signal that the cycle has not been completed. You must wait about 1 minute before closing the door to rest art the program.
User instructions 15 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher h as been correctly installed, prepare for us e as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and deter ge nt.
User instructions 16 • Do not use table salt as it contains insoluble substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the r ege nerating salt container before starting the washing program .

User instructions 18 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatic all y added to the water during the final rinse c ycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 19 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispenser cap, l ightly press the button P . Add the detergent and clos e the cap carefully.
User instructions 20 • The market offers liqu id and powder detergents with differing chemical compositions, w hich may contain phosphates , or be phosphate-free but contain natural enzymes . - Detergents containing phosphates are more effective against grease and starch at temperat u res above 60°C .
User instructions 21 4.3 General warnings and recommendations Before using the dishw asher for the first time, it is advisable to read the following recomme ndations concerning dis h types to be washed an d their loading.
User instructions 22 Items which are not dishwash er-s afe: • Wooden dishes, po ts or pans: these may be damage d by the high washing temperatures. • Handcrafted items: thes e are rarely suitable for washing in a dishwasher. The relatively high water temperatures and the detergents used may damage them.
User instructions 23 4.4 Using the baskets The dishwasher has a capacit y of 12 place-settings , including serving dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives the full force o f the lower spray arm, and should therefore be use d for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degree of soiling.
User instructions 24 CUTLERY BASKET The cutlery should be arrang ed in an orderly manner inside the basket, with the handles pointin g downwards. Take care during loadi ng to avoid injury from the knife blades. T he basket is suitabl e for al l t ypes of cutler y, except those l ong enough to interfere w i th the upper spray arm.
User instructions 25 The top basket is fitted (o n the left) with two plastic racks w hich can be raised to make room for tall glasses, such as stem glasses. On the right there are t wo cutlery racks designed to take knives and teaspoons; when not in use, they can be left vertical, a ttached to the basket.
User instructions 26 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BA S KET Version A : the upper bask et can be adjusted in two positions , according to the user’s needs and according to the h eight of the dishes in the lower basket.
User instructions 27 Version C: the top basket can be set in three different positions on both sides. The rack must be level on both sides. To raise the basket lift it, pulling on the fr ont edge (1) , to the first or second catch depending on the height required.
User instructions 28 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, a lways unplug the appliance from the electrical supply or switch off the all-pol e disconnection device. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasi ve detergents.
User instructions 29 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is advisable to p eriodically inspect the centre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip th e tabs, turn them anticlock.
User instructions 30 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no deposits of sludge or rust inside t he water pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water s upp ly tap for a few minutes. • Plug the power cord back into the socket.
User instructions 31 If the dishes fail to dry or remain dull, check that: • there is rinse aid inside the special c ontainer; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct; • the detergent used is of good quality and has not lost its effectiveness (for example, throu gh incorre ct storage, with the box left open).
