GB-IE Instructions fo r the User 12 7 USING THE OVEN 7.1 Precautions and Gen e ral Advice When t he oven and grill are used for the first time, they should be heated to the maximum temperature for long enough t o b urn off any oily resi dues left by the m anufacturing process, which might contaminate foods wi t h unpleasant smells.

When defrosting, use on ly dishes that are ap propriate for microwaves (china, glass, suitable plastic). 2. The defrost function by weight and t he tables r efer to the defrosting of raw food.

GB-IE Instructions fo r the User 23 9.4 Cooking with the Gr ill Element For good results with the grill, use the rack supplied with the oven. Fit t he r ack i n such a way that it doesn’t come into contact with the m etal surfaces of the oven cavity since if it d oes there is a danger of electric arcing which may damage the oven.

The gri ll is especially s uitable for cooking thin portions of meat and fish . Thin portions of meat only need to be turned onc e, but thicker portions should be turned several times.

Take the plug out of th e socket or switch off the oven’s power circuit. Warning! Never use a jet of steam for cleaning the inside of the oven.
