User instructions 17 SETTING THE WASHING PROGRAM To select th e most sui table program for the dishes to be washed refer to the table bel ow, w hich indicates the most appropr iate program accord ing to dish type and degree o f soiling.
User instructions 18 1.2 Washing programs The dishwasher is equipped with a control panel, described in chapter "1. Description of the c ontrols", fro m which it is possible to ca rry out all the power switch-on, switch-off and programming operations.
User instructions 19 PROGRAMMING Programming o perations are only possib le with the door closed . As long as th e door is open, t he PROGRAMS (4) lights r emain off. PROGRAM SELECTION Press the PROGRAM SELECTI ON button (3) several times until the li ght of the program required comes on.
User instructions 20 CH ANGI NG A PR OGR AM To chang e the running progr am it is nece ssary: • to interrupt the runn ing program ( see “ I NTERRUPTION A PROGR AM ”); • select the new program; • start the program ( see “ S TARTING THE PROGRAM ”).
User instructions 21 DE LAYI NG TH E PR OGRA M (on some models only) (available in all programs except the soak program) The PROGRAM DELAY button ( 7 ) can be pressed to delay the start of the washing program by 3 , 6 or 9 hours. This function allows you to set the dishwasher to work at your preferred time of day.
User instructions 22 To set the delay once the program has started , proceed as follows. If the program you wish to carry out is the same as the one already in progress: x press the START/PAUSE button.

Installation instructions 2. Installation and hook-up Remove th e polystyrene basket retainer s. Position the applian ce in the de sired place of installat ion. The back or sides o f the di shwasher may be placed up against w alls or other furniture units.

User instructions 3. Operating instructions Once the di shwasher ha s been correctly insta lled, prepare for use as follows: • Adjust the water soft ening syste m; • Add the regenerating sa lt; • Add the rinse aid and detergent.
User instructions • Do not use table salt as it contains i nsoluble substances whic h, over time, m ay damage the w ater softenin g system. • When nec essary, refill t he regenerating salt container be fore starting the washi ng program .
User instructions ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid helps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formatio n of scale dep osits and staining; it is automat ically added to the water during the fin al rinse cyc le, from the cont ainer situated on t he inner si de of the door .

User instructions LOWER BASKET The low er basket receiv es the full fo rce of the low er spray arm, an d should t herefore be used f or the “toughest” items w ith a heavier degree of soiling.
User instructions CUTLERY BASKET The cutler y should be arr anged in an orderly manner inside the bas ket, with the ha ndles pointing downw ards. Take care during loadin g to avoid injury from t he knife blade s. The basket is suitabl e for all types of cutl ery, except those long e nough to int erfere with the upper spray arm.
